Oklahoma AU members elected Rev. Jim Shields to be their new president at the annual meeting last August.

Also elected as officers were Ann Kennedy, an educator who teaches Social Studies at SE High School in OKC and Jim Huff, a retired public school teacher, who taught Social Studies at Capital Hill and Douglas High Schools in OKC.   Kennedy will serve as Vice President and Huff, who has completed a second two-year term as chapter President, was elected to fill the position of Executive Secretary.

Members also approved the appointment of Rev. Bob Elliott, a retired Disciples of Christ minister and President of the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, as faith groups committee chair; Tom Martin, a commodities trader, as secular groups committee chair; and Rev. Bruce Prescott, Director of Mainstream Oklahoma Baptists and Radio Talk Show Host (“Religious Talk” on Sunday mornings from 8:00-9:00), as the chapter’s newsletter editor.
